BASECAMP MUSIC EXPERIENCE ROCKS BRECKENRIDGE

For Immediate release

BASECAMP MUSIC EXPERIENCE, THE LOUDEST SHOW ON SNOW, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HONDA SKI TOUR, DRAWS THOUSANDS TO THE CENTER OF BRECKENRIDGE, CO.

The Wailers, Swollen Members, Don Carlos and other big-name acts play to wild crowds in small, intimate venues.

Breckenridge, CO, February 3, 2007—Jamaica's reggae royalty, The Wailers, rocked out to a sold-out BaseCamp Music Experience (BCME) Pavilion with crowds  grooving to the beats inside the 14,000 square foot tent. With the Halfpipe and Ski cross competitions being postponed due to high winds and inclement weather, the nightlife at the Breckenridge, CO, stop of The Honda Ski Tour took a front seat. The BaseCamp Pavilion, occupied an entire parking lot and accommodated 3,000 people swaying to the inspiring beats of the original reggae legends.

The BCME is presented in conjunction with THST, North America's new elite, four-stop mountain festival and skiing competition that features the world's best halfpipe and ski cross skiers competing for a total of $500,000, the biggest purse in skiing. But the Loudest Show On Snow also acts as an appreciation of mountain culture with 30 big-name bands that Bravo Entertainment, the company producing the music festival, have booked to rock Breckenridge, CO, Aspen/Snowmass, CO, and Squaw Valley, CA, when the The Honda Ski Tour comes to town.

Prior to The Wailers show, emcee Chris "Uncle E" Ernst introduced the top 10 athletes from both Halfpipe and Ski cross including Halfpipe athlete and Winter X Games (WXG) Superpipe gold medalist Tanner Hall, who was absent for THST stop #1 in Sun Valley, ID. Other skiers taking the stage were THST Ski cross stop #1 champion and WXG 2007 Skier X gold medalist Casey Puckett and THST Halfpipe stop #1 champion and WXG Superpipe silver medalist Simon Dumont, who nearly snuck in a kiss with one of the presenting Honda Ski Tour Girls.

Meanwhile local bars and hotel ballrooms hosted five additional shows after The Wailers concert including the vivacious hip-hop beats of Swollen Members in the Ten Mile Ballroom at The Village, Matt White's acoustic band jamming in The Crocs Lounge at the Village, reggae legend Don Carlos playing late into the evening at Beaver Run Resort, and Kamphire Collective and former Wailer's member Elan and DJ Siren C rocking out at Salt Creek. The late-night crowds danced, jumped, and sang with excitement packing into small venues to listen to the sounds which filled the town of Breckenridge into the wee hours of the morning.

"We're incredibly fortunate that our fans are our friends," said Madchild of Swollen Members while backstage during the encore. "So when we come to do a show, we come to party and they come to party with us. The energy of the crowd tonight is one of the crazier highs I've ever experienced."

And what winter festival would be complete without beautiful girls throwing swag into an audience of thousands? The Honda Ski Tour Girls made appearances at all BCME shows and dancing onstage with the high energy of the Swollen Members.
The headliners at tonight's BCME shows, Blackalicious and Michael Franti with Spearhead are nearly sold out. Tickets are going fast so make sure to go to www.theskitour.com
