After nearly 10 years as an editor, writer, and photographer, Keith Carlsen joined MSI in June 2005 to head up the new Marketing, PR, and Communications program. Between 1996-2003, Keith worked on the editorial staff at Powder and Bike Magazines, serving as Powder’s editor for three years. While leading a repositioning of Powder’s editorial focus, he started three major events: Powder Video Awards, Powder Superpark, and Powder Week. After leaving Powder full-time, he ran a successful freelance writing and photography business for three years, working for clients such as Men’s Journal, Outside, Powder, Bike, Snowboard Journal, and Red Bull.

 

At MSI, Keith handles media relations for all events, manages website development, develops communications services, and serves as the staff photographer. An avid skier and mountain biker, Keith received his B.A. in Journalism from Western State College of Colorado in 1996.
